Statement

Growing up in the five boroughs of New York City have shaped my ideas about architecture, planned communities, civil rights and tragedy. As a citizen artist it is very important for me to keep these issues in balance; yet due to the complexities of big cities these issues are in perpetual motion — shuffling, sorting, revealing, and sometimes disappearing. From researching archival and contemporary news accounts of urban mythologies, I work within undocumented communities seeking a balance between art production, media distortion, and truth.
